LBE Services is an Edinburgh Building Surveyor providing a wide range of construction consultancy services throughout the central belt of Scotland, comprising: Building Surveying, Architectural Design and HSE / CDM Compliance. Our HSE services include CDM 2015 Advice to Clients, Principal Designer's and Principal Contractors alike. 


LBE Services is an Edinburgh Building Surveyor who established at the beginning of 2015 and is based in Bonnyrigg on the outskirt's of Edinburgh. We aim to provide our clients with a first class personal service with competitively priced fees through low overheads, multi-disciplinary experience and efficiency. 


Our Chartered Edinburgh Building Surveyor (see below for further details) has circa thirteen years experience working in private practice, public sector, construction and freelance contracting so is well versed to provide advice to a wide range of clients.

The Director of the consultancy Keith Hogg started LBE Services (LBES) in the early stages of 2015. LBES is an Edinburgh Building Surveyor focused on Building Surveying, Architectural Design, HSE and CDM2015 compliance. 


Keith started his professional career in private practice where he achieved a first class honours degree in Building Surveying, obtained chartered 'MRICS' status and became a registered 'RMaPS' NOS assessed member of the Association for Project Safety. Keith then moved into a facilities management role with a public sector organisation picking up further qualifications in construction health and safety, fire risk management and control of legionella along the way. At the start of 2015 Keith set up his own practice and has been involved with the following significant projects to date: 


  • Schedule of Condition Surveys for 'The Water of Leith' flood prevention works: Thomson Gray 
  • Architectural design services for the conversion of a listed shop unit into a smaller shop and two bedroom flat in Clackmannashire: Ms Smith. 
  • Surveying support for various stone conservation projects: The Edinburgh Stonemasons 
  • Fire Evacuation Plans for several nursing homes throughout Scotland: Blackwood Housing Association 
  • Advisor to Principal Designer: The Railway Tavern Penicuik 
  • Architectural design services for various domestic alterations and extensions in the Edinburgh & Lothian's region. 
  • Architectural, Fire Safety, Transition Management and FM services for NHS Education for Scotland.


Keith recently passed NEBOSH Environmental Management with distinction and is looking to train to become a Rope Access technician to provide high level access conservation surveying services. Keith has recently passed an exam in CDM2015 and specialist area working at height has had his APS membership upgraded to 'CMaPS' (Certified member)  Keith's qualifications to date include:

LBES is an Edinburgh Building Surveyor who is fully insured and holds Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances with an RICS approved insurance broker. We are happy to provide copies of our insurances upon request and we are also regulated by the RICS.
