New Garage & Store - Eskbank

Our client had owned an undeveloped plot for several years, which is attached to a Category A listed mansion house in the Eskbank area of Dalkeith. Previous schemes had been developed by other consultants for garage, storage and studio facilities, although issues had been experienced with planning and available budget once tendered. We were tasked with coming up with an architectural design for a new-build garage & storage facility. The design had to sit well on the available plot, whilst complimenting the A listed building it serves and fitting in with the surrounding conservation area. We prepared our design carefully to take cognisance of this with respect to form and materials, whilst keeping an eye on the client's budget.

The contractor MMR Ltd constructed the works to a high standard with a good eye for detail. The works were completed within the agreed timeframe to a high standard and within the contract sum.
